Gin Rummy for the Apple iPhone - Latest Game Application

PressOK have recently developed and released Gin Rummy Deluxe on the Apple iPhone along with a stack of other apps for the popular Apple Mobile GSM Phone.

If you're not familiar with how to play Gin, there is a straightforward tutorial that walks you through gameplay. If you know how to play, the first thing you do is create an avatar which will be your representation in the game. Once you've created your avatar you get matched up against one of the in-game players which include various humans and a panda.

One of the entertaining parts of the game is the ability to taunt your opponent and they taunt you back. You select from a drop-down of pre-selected taunts.

The gameplay is very straightforward and the artwork is solid. I would like to be able to add my own taunts to the game and I would like to be able to sort the cards manually (vs. the three ways the game lets you) but otherwise I don't have too many suggestions to improve the game. It's fun.

Are you sitting comfortably, then I'll try to give quick catch up as to what's been happening. Big news of this year (as of two and a half months ago) is that Nick is now a proper Mister i.e. he married Helen in Ireland in June. He's now a kept man (OK, so works for himself whilst Helen jets all over the world on the European golf tour for the TV production company). A right shindig it was too... but nothing on the stag week in Soll!!!! You would have been proud of the boy, and Soll is (was until we got there!) gone fairly up market (and virtually no drag lifts!! - just as well because Nick and Ross and still pants on them!!)! We'd tried to get you to join us, hence the attempted contact (honest!). Rosco has a son (Harrison) who is just over a year old (he married Ominda - an Aussie - 4? years ago). Ross works for the chain that own Tiger Tiger and is their hot shot whiz kid and getting places back on their feet again. Mikaela, not to be left out, is getting married to Ben next Feb (14th!). Syd has settled down with Heidi and they've bought a house together in Ruislip. Clock just seems to be getting bigger and bigger www.clock.co.uk - a bit like some of our waist lines!!! Bonesy hasn't changed and still gives us a run for our money (and came to Soll!!).... and last (but by no means least) there's Ali and me! Ali was made redundant about 2.5 years ago (her company CEO is now being tried for a billion dollar fraud!) and joined a start-up company in the summer. Still loves it and they have been getting bigger recently and now have a second office (in Monaco - alright for some!). She's really into her horse riding and apart from one or two hiccups has been doing pretty well this year competing in eventing competitions. We're off diving in October (her first holiday this year - well she couldn't exactly come on the stag do could she??!) but need to go shopping before hand as we were burgled last year and apart from my dive watch they stole one of our gear bags and one (yes one) of her dive boots!!

So yes, come to London and don't be shy! Will be great to see the both of you for a long overdue catch up. You're welcome to stay with us in the sticks

Hi John,

Long time no speak … bad I know but we have been busy I guess. Since mid last year I was made redundant when Time Inc was sold in Australia. Sounds bad but after being at Time Inc for 9 years the payout was good and I ended up starting my own little IT company, ITSS. I now look after Time Australia Magazine’s support needs – sweeeet! J

Hilary and I also moved into our new home October last year which we love. Once work settled down for me early this year I’ve been working in the yard pretty well non stop … bloody hard work but rewarding. Along the way Hilary has decided to spend some of my hard earned payout on a little trip through the US and Europe. So we hope to catch up with you guys when we’re in town, 19^th to 23^rd September. We head off to LA this Wednesday morning … it’s a mad rush to get everything done in time!

Anyway, I know it’s short notice but hope we can manage to catch up. How is Ali, Nick, Syd and the gang? Hope you’re well and speak soon.

They may have lost the sponsorship rights to the NRL stadium at Homebush, losing to ANZ - but major Australian Telco Telstra still are the full naming rights sponsor of the 2008 NRL Rugby League Premiership.

With logo, tv and merchandise coverage the rewards are many for the Australian institution. However their loss of the sponsorship of Stadium Australia surely would have hurt slightly.

Good day all, Sixteen years ago I met this young chap who wanted a bar job in a salubrious establishment called Park In The Bar, I was impressed by his energy and enthusiasm – despite the fact he was wearing bike pants under his shorts………. Oh boy those were the days.. I will always remember him talking about his big aspirations for the future. The amazing paintings he would imprint in your mind…. And with a little hard work and a whole lot of money he was on his way... About 4 years ago this same guy rang me and painted me another picture of how he was going to buy Pete Simpson out and he needed someone to help him with getting this new ball rolling. After about four months, I took him up on the challenge. 16 months ago Justin Lobb began, I will always remember a poignant conversation with him when he reminded me that I was spending all my time doing everyone else’s job, at the detriment of my own. He has single headedly couched me from an unfocussed, pimply faced retail numb nut into a multi disciplined commercial manager. He is by far one the best strategic moves DigitalMobile has made and will spearhead and lead the business to new and lofty heights Digital Mobile has been the most amazing place to work, right from day one. Red, Restless and Rock Solid we may not be… but we nail it every time and have moved out of the Vodafone shadow to become by far the market leading Vodafone dealer and a retail force to be reckoned with. It's a title fight every day, and we continue to punch above our weight and deliver both the results but also the attitude of a winning team. Be proud of the difference you make and the heads you are turning, because you all deserve it. Well done - you are amazing people and good friends, and together make it a very special place.
